Workflows and Approvals

To ensure accuracy and compliance the Coriander Lane Locations and Jobs content types utilizes a two stage content approval process where only approvers and admins can 'skip' the approval process, this means the publishing group and administrators do not need to get approval prior to publishing this content directly.

Approval Process

  • Regular users (e.g., content creators, product managers) must submit newly created or updated Rates for approval.
  • Editor user role is responsible for the initial review stage, reviewing and approving the Locations and Job content items  before they are published.
  • Author user role is responsible for the second review stage. Doing a final review of the Locations and Job content items before they are published.
  • Administrators and authors who add or update Jobs and Locations content have the ability to bypass the approval process and directly publish this content when necessary.

Key Features of the Workflow

✅ Submission & Stage 1 Approval – When a user submits a new or modified Location or Job content item, it enters the approval queue for review by an Editor before being sent for a final review. 

✅ Stage 2 Approval & Publishing –  A member of the Author Approvers performs a final review, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and then approves the content for publishing.

✅ Notes & Collaboration – Users can include notes when submitting Rates for approval, providing additional context or justification for the update. Approvers can also respond with feedback or request revisions.

✅ Administrator Override – Admins can approve and publish content awaiting approval instantly, bypassing the workflow if necessary for urgent updates.

This structured approach ensures that content changes are properly vetted while allowing flexibility when immediate updates are required.
